The real shape of this pouch is unclear, so there are only theoretical reconstructions. We have only one poor picture of our version now, better pics coming soon. Hand sewing, brass castings, leather edging, underside is covered by thin leather. Size 17 x 16 cm Tarsoly (pronounced "tArshoy") is a type of belt pouch (10-11 century) of hungarian origin with long tradition. It was a kind of fashion of the time throughout Hungary and the lands to the East and North. It was usually decorated with brass mounts or with a single decorated metal plate. The richness of decoration of the tarsoly and of the belt on which it was worn demonstrated high rank, bravery and wealth of the owner.
